2. The Weather conditions:
The month of November, although unpredictable, is expected to be cold sometimes with some rain. However, in Masai Mara, it can be extremely cold but the clean air is very good for distance running. The course is mainly on dirt roads, which may be hard but will be smooth.
However, runners would be advised to wear warm clothing and running shoes with heavier soles. These will also be appropriate on stony sections of the road. The average temperature on the race morning will range between 15 to 32 centigrade but, may be much colder at the morning of the race.
So, as always, runners should be prepared for all running conditions and be prepared to adjust their planned pace to what the weather may provide that morning. However, the organizers will keep monitoring the weather conditions throughout the period — especially days nearer to the event — and will advise the runners accordingly.
